THE FIRST YEAR OF IERVOLINO STUDIOS MARKED BY THE LONG-EXPECTED ANIMATED SERIES ENTIRELY CREATED IN SERBIA

Did you know that the first season of the first animated series entirely created in Serbia in just one year, will soon be available on some of the biggest streaming platforms all over the world? Specifically, 54 episodes of the highest-quality content for children and all fans of animated films, that more than a hundred currently employed artists and creative experts from Iervolino Studios (IES) in Belgrade and Novi Sad worked on, and whose production was done by the partner production studio Archangel Digital Studios.

Just a year ago, it was hard to believe that something like that was possible, until the opening of Iervolino Studios, owned by Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment Group, with the support of its strategic partner Archangel Digital Studios. This is the first studio for the production of animated content of this type in Serbia, which is now the largest in the region. Last August, opening of the first studio branch in Novi Sad was attended by the founder of ILBE Group and IES, celebrated Hollywood producer Andrea Iervolino, his strategic partner Miloš Biković and the first 30 employees. Also, the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Culture and Information were of key importance for encouraging work on the development of this branch of the film industry in Serbia, as well as for promoting domestic culture and art at the international level.

“When I think of last August and the opening of the studio, it seems to me that an eternity has passed since then, as we have achieved so much in the meantime. And with that, I don’t only think of the long-awaited animated series with superheroes, about which we will soon be able to say something more, but also all the international projects of the parent company that artists from Serbia participated in – from Puffins with Johnny Depp, to the revolutionary project Space 11. We truly believe that the talented people here have a bright future when it comes to the film and animation industry and our doors will always be open for them”, said Andrea Iervolino, director and founder of Iervolino Studios and its parent company Iervolino and Lady Bacardi Entertainment (ILBE).

Shortly after opening a uniquely designed studio in Novi Sad, equipped with the latest technologies, Iervolino Studios expanded its business by opening another studio in Belgrade as well, including an entire sector dedicated to post-production and visual effects (VFX), that is under construction. In addition to full-time artists and creative experts from IES, directors, composers and other creative associates from Serbia engaged by the production company Archangel Digital Studios, have also participated in the first joint project.

“The fact that we put into production the first 54 episodes of this long-awaited series is a huge success for local artists, because together we managed to start and systematize the animated industry, but also to attract people from all over the world to come to Serbia and work on some new, future projects. I hope that there will be more of that and that we will just continue to grow and create”, said Miloš Biković, our celebrated actor and founder of the production company Archangel Digital Studios.

Iervolino Studios is currently hiring and is looking for new talents in the field of film, visual and applied arts, marketing and communications, to work in studios in Belgrade and Novi Sad. In addition, the plan is to employ 600 artists and experts by 2025, expand the portfolio and capacity, to invest in the development of animation in Serbia, through cooperation with the local and Italian academic community, and support initiatives and projects in the field of animation and socially responsible business.
