JOHNNY DEPP TO RECEIVE SERBIA’S GOLD MEDAL OF MERIT FOR HIS EXCEPTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR LOCAL ARTIST COMMUNITY

Celebrated Hollywood actor Johnny Depp will be awarded the Gold Medal of Merit of the Republic of Serbia, for his exceptional contributions to the country’s continued efforts to enhance and expand its local community of artists. Depp will receive the Gold Medal on February 15, on the occasion of the Statehood Day.

The famous actor was in Belgrade last October to promote the animated series PUFFINS IMPOSSIBLE, developed in Serbia and created by Iervolino Studios (IES), owned by Andrea Iervolino and
Lady Monika Bacardi, founders of IES’ parent company Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment (ILBE), while the production is signed by Archangel Digital Studios (ADS), founded by Miloš Biković.

Thanks to the innovative technology and the unique approach used by IES and ADS, Serbian animated content has become increasingly advanced and equal in comparison with some of the largest animation studios in terms of production and quality

Johnny Depp’s leading role and active participation in the promotion of PUFFINS IMPOSSIBLE helped leverage Serbia’s artistic strengths among the global filmmaking industry. Depp’s remarks on the country’s exceptional creativity and the professionalism of its local artists further benefited this narrative. PUFFINS IMPOSSIBLE will soon be available on the largest global streaming platforms including, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Chilli TV, TaTaTu and others.
