ANIMATION PICTURE AND VIDEO CONTENT EDITOR @ IES
We are looking for a passionate storyteller who wants to become part of our team of creative artists and achieve something extraordinary in the animation industry.
The Animation picture and video content editor will be a member of the Editing Department, closely cooperating with other departments in our studio (Production, VFX, Animation, Marketing and Communication, Sales, Internal communication, HR, …) working on numerous international projects. They will edit animated episodes, generate content for marketing and sales activities (trailers, bumpers, short videos), deliver content for various external and internal channels, participate in content creation from script to screen, and create posts and videos for social media (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Vimeo).
Daily responsibilities:
- Edit and manage animated episodes during pre-production and post-production
- Work with storyboards, animation, music, and sound to create exciting and memorable content, dynamic visual storytelling through modern and engaging video edits – from live footage, animated content, 2d and 3d graphics
- Facilitate content reviews and implement production director’s notes
- Generate reviewable files, outputs for Sound, and work closely with assistant editors to hand off master sequences for final processing and delivery
- Create quick and appealing short video forms on different topics for YouTube, social media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), website, intraweb etc.
- Produce trailers, bumpers and other material for projects in production
- Manage video projects from start to finish – idea development, direction, shooting, and editing creative and compelling content for external use
- Be a person in charge of all video contents for promotion of the studio, the projects, the events, the educational activities, the special occasions, etc.
- Ensure cohesion, consistency, and alignment of the produced contents to the company brand standards
- Ensure a well-organized library of assets
- Prioritize workflows and identify the right order in which to complete tasks
- Understand and follow production guidelines
- Maintain the production pipeline and meet deadlines
- Provide timely corrections at the request of production
Qualifications and skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a professional environment and work proving this. Degree in Film or related field is an asset.
- Art portfolio related to the references above
- Passion for leading the way in creative content production, with a strong sense of visual storytelling and editorial style
- Good communication skills
- Ability to provide and clearly present ideas
- Ability to provide timely corrections upon feedback
- Ability to prioritize workflows and identify the right order in which to complete tasks
*Degree and work experience requirements may be waived if candidates can show exceptional skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Package (Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects)
- Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and other necessary software
- Excellent understanding of storytelling, photography, film and film direction
- Ready to learn new software, acquire new knowledge and follow the latest technologies
- Good sense of timing, pacing, sound design and controlling the story flow through editing – including good understanding of composition, screen direction and continuity
- High attention to details
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic and co-operative environment
