We are looking for a talented and dedicated Assistant Animation Picture Editor with a great team spirit and good technical knowledge to become a part of our creative gang, to assist in editing animated episodes during pre-production and post-production alongside with Animation Picture Editor and our team on an unannounced 3D animated series.

Daily responsibilities:  

• Assist in editing animated episodes during pre-production and post-production
• Ingests, organizes, and updates footage; pulls music and sound effects from our library; locates archival assets necessary to support assignment objectives.
• Generates reviewable files, outputs for Sound, and works closely with the Animation Picture Editor to hand off master sequences for final processing and delivery.
• Works with a good understanding of production workflow
• Understands and follows production guidelines
• Provides timely corrections

Qualifications and Skills

• B.A. / B.S. Degree in Film or related field is an asset.
• Art portfolio related to the references (above student work are welcome)
• *Degree and work experience requirements may be waived if candidates can show exceptional skills
• Knowledge of most common industry standard editing software: Adobe Premier Pro, DaVinci Resolve etc.
• Ability to interface with colleagues and artists outside of editing department (e.g. Storyboarding, Sound, Compositing, VFX, 3D etc.)
• Basic knowledge of current post-production industry-standard workflows and archival organization
• High attention to details
• Readiness to learn new software and acquire new knowledge and follow technologies
• Ability to take direction positively and work within a team
• Ability to work as part of a team in high-intensity environment, team-oriented and cooperative

It’s a plus if you have:  

• Previous experience working in film, animation and related industries
